Welcome to Better Health Therapy

I'm Dr. Wischenka ("Dr. Danielle"), and I'm here to support you on your path towards greater well-being and better health. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist offering comprehensive, multilingual services (Hebrew & English) across California and Colorado. I specialize in anxiety treatment and behavioral interventions for individuals of all ages, including toddlers, kids, teens, young adults, and their parents.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is deeply rooted in empathy and understanding. I believe in the importance of creating a safe space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment. At Better Health Therapy, it's not just about treating symptoms—it's about understanding you as a whole person and fostering meaningful, lasting change.

I am dedicated to helping my clients overcome a range of issues, including:

  • Selective Mutism

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Hair Pulling (Trichotillomania)

I also focus on anxiety related to life transitions, school, and chronic medical conditions. I am passionate about supporting families impacted by chronic illness, particularly children and teens affected by their sibling's or family member's health challenges.

My Background

Through my experiences and training, I've honed my skills in evidence-based practices. My work has been supported by grants and scholarships, and I've contributed to grant-supported research projects exploring topics like sleep quality in OCD treatment outcomes and experiential avoidance. In addition, I've had the privilege of holding the prestigious role of President of the Child and Family Health Special Interest Group of the Society of Behavioral Medicine in the recent past.
