Medical Illness

Support for Children, Teens & Families Facing Medical Illness

Living with a chronic or life-changing medical condition affects more than just the body—it reshapes identity, family life, and emotional well-being. We provide compassionate, collaborative therapy for children, teens, and families navigating the complex reality of illness.

What We Help With

Chronic illness and long-term diagnoses

Making meaning of illness and identity

Acute or traumatic illness

Family support for siblings (including 'glass child' experiences)

Grief, loss, and adjustment

Parenting through medical challenges

Our Approach

We work closely with families to provide whole-person care. Therapy may include expressive strategies for children, parent guidance, and collaboration with medical teams when appropriate. We use a combination of CBT, ACT, and narrative therapy approaches to promote resilience, process grief, and build meaning—tailored to the developmental stage and medical situation of each client.

If your family is facing a diagnosis or long-term treatment plan, you don’t have to do it alone.

We are here to help support you and your child on your journey towards better health.
