Medical Anxiety

Helping Children & Teens Face Medical Fears With Confidence

Medical anxiety can turn necessary care into a source of dread. Whether it’s fear of needles, procedures, or just “what if something’s wrong,” we specialize in helping young people reduce avoidance and feel more in control.

What We Help With

Needle Phobia

Dental Phobia

Blood/Injury/Illness Phobias

Fear of diagnosis or symptoms (health anxiety)

Procedural anxiety (e.g. MRI, IV, surgery prep)

Our Approach

We use evidence-based exposure therapy (ERP), ACT, and coping skill development to help clients face fears gradually and successfully. Our sessions are gentle, collaborative, and paced to each child’s readiness. We also support parents with tools to reduce accommodation and promote brave behavior at home and at appointments.

Bravery isn't the absence of fear—it's moving forward with support. Let’s help your child face care with calm and confidence.

We are here to help support you and your child on your journey towards better health.
